401K

All Massage Envy Sarasota and Bradenton Employees are eligible for a 401K Retirement Plan with John Hancock after 6 months of employment.  A 401K Retirement Plan has many great advantages like tax benefits, flexibility of contribution, and convenience. 

Plan changes can be made through your account on myplan.johnhancock.com or through John Hancock's Retirement App.

AMTA Membership and Liability Insurance

Massage Envy has paired with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) to offer massage therapists employed at Massage Envy franchised locations an annual AMTA membership at no cost.

At a face value of $235 per year, an AMTA annual membership has many tangible benefits, including:

CEUs

LMTs have access to free continuing education with 12+ free online CEUs and 12+ free live CEUs annually.  Massage Envy Sarasota provides free live training and live CEU classes quarterly.  

A free AMTA membership through Massage Envy also allows you access to free online courses and CEUs through the AMTA. 

Compensation (Sales Associates)

Pay Scale

Sales Associates will receive a performance review with their direct manager every six (6) months. The metrics discussed will pertain to membership and package sales, gift card sales, retail sales, attendance, and culture. Pay raises are awarded as Sales Associates gain experience with the company based on their tenure.

 

Sales Commission

Sales Associates will earn commission on all membership and package sales. Package commissions are $3 for a 3-pack and $5 for a 5-pack. The starting base commission for membership sales is $10 per 12/month membership. Sales associates are eligible for a bonus based on the number of 12-month memberships sold in a  2-week pay period.



Trainings and Meetings

Training and meeting pay will be paid at $12.00/hr

Compensation (Service Providers)

You are an employee of your independently-owned and operated franchised location and will receive a W-2 at the end of the year. None of our employees are independent contractors.


Pay Scale

Service Providers are paid per service hour performed and pay raises are awarded annually as providers gain experience with the company based on their tenure.


< 12 months: $20.00

> 12 Months: $20.50

> 24 Months: $21.00

> 36 Months: $21.50

> 48 Months: $22.00

> 60 Months: $22.50

> 72 Months: $23.00



Sign-On Bonus

When you join our team as a full-time employee*, you will receive a total of $1000 in signing bonuses $100 Paid to you on first check, then $100 after 1 month, $300 month 2, $100 month 3, $100 month 4, and $300 month 6.

When you join our team as a part-time employee, you will receive a total of $500, which is paid in the same format. $50 on your first check, then $50 after 1 month, $150 month 2, $50 month 3, $50 month 4, $150 month 6.

*Full-time service providers are scheduled a minimum of 30 hours per week including breaks.


Enhancement Commission

Retail Commission

Estheticians will receive a tiered bonus for retail sales and will be paid per pay period as follows:


Advanced Facial Commission

Estheticians will receive a $5 commission for all PCA Chemical Peel services, Nourishing Light Facial services, and Microderm Infusion services performed. 


Meeting and Training Pay

Meeting and Non-CEU training will be paid at $12.00 per hour.  You will not receive compensation for attending a CEU class. 


Tippy

We have partnered with Tippy to enable our Service Providers to have immediate access to their credit card tips through a your digital wallet or Tippy  debit card, and the option to move credit card tips from your digital wallet to you bank account.

If you need more services during the month, you may book in advance at the member rate of $50 for a 1-hour session, or you can walk-in for an appointment (that do not take away availability from a client) at the employee discounted rate.

Enhancements are 50% off, except for Premium and Advanced Enhancements  which are 25% off.

Employee of the Year Program

Any employee who has been with Massage Envy a minimum of 9 months are eligible to be nominated for Sales Associate of the Year, Therapist of the Year, or Esthetician of the Year. If you are nominated, you will be recognized locally and regionally.

Manager-in-Training Program 

Sales Associates who have been with Massage Envy a minimum than 12 consecutive months, or have previous spa or management experience, are eligible to be a  Manager-in-Training based on performance. This leadership development program assists Sales Associates who wish to move up to be Assistant Managers at our Sarasota and Bradenton locations. 

Mental Health , Assistance, and Support Benefits

Managing work and your home life can sometimes be a challenge. We are pleased to announce the SupportLinc program is available with emotional wellbeing and work-life balance resources to keep you at your best. Administered by CuraLinc Healthcare, the program offers guidance to help you address and resolve everyday issues at no cost to you or your family. The program includes:

Paid-Time Off (Sales Associates)

Full-Time Sales Associates will enjoy 4 paid personal days per year, after they have worked 12 continuous months with Massage Envy. You will accrue one (1) paid personal day on the first day of each quarter. Paid personal days do not roll over and must be redeemed in the quarter they were accrued.  Paid or unpaid time off must be requested a minimum of 2 weeks before the requested date, to the location manager. All time off is granted at the location managers discretion. 

Paid-Time Off (Service Providers)

Each of our licensed service providers have different time off needs so we decided to create a benefit plan that can give you the flexibility to fit your needs.  The plan is designed to accommodate both full-time and part-time employees.


Benefits Accumulation Schedule:

One dollar for each hour of massage or facial you perform will be added to your PTO account.  The program will run on an annual basis from July 1st to June 30th each year.  You will maintain your accumulated credits as long as you continue your active employment with Massage Envy Sarasota.

Note: Our full time employees typically perform about 100 hours of massage/facial per month, so this annual benefit can be approximately $1200 per year in added benefits for full time employees.

All licensed Massage Therapists and licensed Estheticians of Massage Envy of Sarasota Florida, are eligible for this PTO program and benefits start accumulating after a period of 60 days of uninterrupted employment.  


The Benefit Options:

Paid Vacation 

This benefit can be utilized for any approved Vacation Time.  Your location Manager has sole discretion in determining whether vacation time is approved.  

Vacation days are to be redeemed at $125, and can be redeemed a minimum of 3 days at a time.

Here are a few helpful points to getting vacation time approved:  

Paid Sick Time

You may use your accrued PTO as a paid sick day up to 4 times per year.  These days are for the unexpected life events like doctors’ visits, sick child, and unexpected emergencies, also redeemed at $125 per day.

Cash Out

If you don’t use any PTO before June 30th, up to 5 days will roll over to the next year, and we will cash out anything above 5 days that you have accrued.  You will receive this cash bonus in the second pay period in July.
